Terms And Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all services provided by Sally Sorts, operated by Sally Browning (“the Organiser”, “we”, “us”). By booking or using our services, you (“the Client”) agree to these Terms.
1. Services Sally Sorts provides professional decluttering, home organisation and related practical support services, including (but not limited to):
- Decluttering and organising living spaces
- Wardrobes, kitchens, home offices and children’s rooms
- Downsizing and preparing homes for sale
- Practical coaching and support within an organising context
Services are practical, supportive and non-judgemental. We do not provide medical, psychological, legal or financial advice.
2. Bookings & Confirmation
A booking is confirmed once the agreed date(s), duration and fee are accepted by the Client. We reserve the right to decline or discontinue services if working conditions are unsafe or inappropriate.
3. Fees & Payment
- Services are charged at the agreed hourly rate or package price.
- A 50% deposit is required before work can begin; the remaining balance is payable as agreed in advance or upon completion of services, unless otherwise stated.
- A minimum booking period may apply (e.g. 4 hours).
- Late payments may result in future bookings being declined.
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- More than 7 days’ notice: sessions may be rescheduled without penalty, subject to availability.
- Less than 7 days’ notice: the session may be charged in full.
- Same-day cancellations or no access on arrival: charged in full.
- We reserve the right to reschedule due to illness or unforeseen circumstances; an alternative date will be offered in such cases.
5. Client Responsibilities
The Client agrees to:
- Provide a safe working environment.
- Inform us of any hazards, fragile items, pets or access restrictions.
- Be present during sessions unless otherwise agreed.
- Retain responsibility for decisions made during the organising process.
6. Decision‑Making & Disposal of Items
All decisions regarding what to keep, donate, sell, recycle or dispose of remain solely the responsibility of the Client at all times. The Organiser:
- Provides guidance, structure and practical support only.
- Will not dispose of or remove items without the Client’s explicit permission.
- Is not responsible for the value (financial or sentimental) of items disposed of following the Client’s decisions.
7. Removal, Donation & Third Parties
- Items may be set aside for donation, sale or disposal only with Client approval.
- Any third‑party services (charities, removal companies, tradespeople, cleaners, etc.) are independent of Sally Sorts.
- We are not responsible for the actions, costs or outcomes of third‑party services.
8. Insurance & Liability
Sally Sorts holds Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance up to £1,000,000. We take reasonable care while working in your home. Any liability is limited to the extent permitted by law and the limits of our insurance cover. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
9. Damage & Breakages
While every care is taken, decluttering and organising is a hands‑on process. Any accidental damage must be reported during or immediately after the session. Claims made after the session may not be accepted.
10. Health & Safety
- Working areas must be accessible and reasonably clear.
- Children and pets must be supervised or kept safely away from working areas.
- We reserve the right to stop work if conditions are unsafe.
11. Photographs & Testimonials
Before/after photographs or testimonials will only be used with the Client’s explicit consent. Consent can be withdrawn at any time in writing.
12. Privacy & Data Protection
Personal information is handled in accordance with UK data protection legislation.
13. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of the service, please raise this with us within 7 days of the session so we can address it promptly and fairly.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
15. Acceptance
By booking or using Sally Sorts services, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
